Sual cümlələrimizlə bağlı dərsimiz davam edir.. Bu gün “Do you know where…? / He asked me where… və s.” cümlələr ilə tanış olacağıq.

Deyirik: Where has Tom gone?

Lakin “Do you know where Tom has gone?” deməliyik. (Do you know where has Tom gone? demək olmaz)

Əgər sual cümləsi olan “Where has Tom gone?” uzun bir cümlənin parçasıdırsa (məsələn, “Do you know…? / I don’t know… / Can you tell me…?) onda sözlərin quruluşu dəyişəcək və bu şəkildə olacaq:

What time is it? —> Do you know what time it is?

Where can I find Linda? —> Can you tell me where I can find Linda?

“Do/does/did” sualları ilə ehtiyatlı olmalıyıq:

What do you mean? —> Please explain what you mean.

“Why,what” kimi sual sözləri yoxdursa, “if,weather” sözləri köməyimizə çatır.

Did anybody see you? —> Do you know if anybody saw you?; …weather anybody saw you?

Vasitəli suallarda da söz quruluşu dəyişəcək:

The police officer said to us,”Where are you going?” – vasitəsiz

The police officer asked us where were going. – vasitəli

(in) the centre/middle (of) the picture  –  şəklin mərkəzində
