“Must” sözünü bir şeyin mütləq edilməli olduğunu,bir şeydən əmin olduğumuzu demək üçün istifadə edirik.

“Can’t” isə bir şeyin mümkünsüz olduğuna inandığımız zaman istifadə olunur.

Struktur belədir:
I/you/he (və s.) + must/can’t + be (tired,at work) / be (doing,going) + do/get
Keçmiş üçün isə “must have (done)” və “have (done)”.
I didn’t hear the phone.I must have been asleep.
Bunun isə strukturu belə olacaq:
I/you/he (və s.) + must/can’t + have + been (asleep,at work) + been (doing, looking) + gone/got/known
“Can’t have”-in əvəzinə “couldn’t have” istifadə edə bilərik.
Esmiralda couldn’t have got my message.
